A cloud FTP server is an FTP endpoint run as a managed service instead of software you install on a machine. DocEvent hosts the endpoint - speaking SFTP, FTPS, plain FTP and SCP - and streams every file straight into cloud storage you already own, so there is no instance to size, no operating system to patch and no disk to fill. You connect a bucket, create users, and hand out the hostname.

DocEvent is free forever for up to five users, with 200MB of transfer and 5,000 operations a month included; paid plans are $2 per user per month billed in blocks of five, with extra transfer at $10 per 10GB. Yes - DocEvent is a cloud FTPS service as much as an FTP one. FTPS (FTP over TLS) is included on every plan, alongside SFTP, plain FTP and SCP, on the same endpoint and the same user accounts. Partners on different protocols can all connect to the one service, and per-user IP allow and deny rules apply whichever protocol they use.
