SFTP and FTP for Azure Blob Storage

Put an SFTP, FTPS, FTP or SCP endpoint in front of your own Azure storage account — Blob, Data Lake Storage Gen2 or Files. No server to run, no hierarchical-namespace prerequisite, and the files stay in your subscription.

Your container
Files stream straight through to your own Azure Blob Storage container — nothing is stored on our servers.

How it works

1
Connect your Azure container
Paste the storage account name and an access key into DocEvent, then choose the container the service should serve. Blob, Data Lake Gen2 and Azure Files are all supported from the same connector.
2
Create a user for each partner
Add an SFTP/FTPS/FTP user per partner or system, with a password or an SSH key and its own home directory. Lock it down with per-service IP allow and deny rules if you want it pinned to known addresses.
3
Hand over the hostname
Give them the DocEvent hostname and credentials. Files land in your container as they are uploaded, and every connection and transfer is recorded in the audit log.Prefer your own domain? Point a CNAME at the endpoint and partners connect to something like sftp.yourcompany.com instead.

Built for Azure Blob Storage

Blob, Data Lake and Files

One connector covers Azure Blob containers, Data Lake Storage Gen2 filesystems and Azure Files shares, so a partner sending over SFTP can land files wherever the rest of your pipeline already reads from.

No hierarchical namespace needed

Azure's own SFTP support requires Data Lake Storage Gen2 with the hierarchical namespace enabled — a decision you make when the account is created. DocEvent works against a plain Blob container as it is.

Your storage account, your rules

Immutability policies, soft delete, lifecycle management to cool and archive tiers, customer-managed keys and region residency all stay in place. DocEvent only ever holds the credentials you give it.
